Hello everyone!

I'm Von, a new player here, and today I am adding to the older population of El Sera by bringing with me Julien from the video game Dragon's Dogma. Julien is a fascinating mix of noble knight and cold, calculating schemer. From a medieval fantasy world in which a great dragon periodically shows up threatening to destroy the world unless slain by a chosen one known as the "arisen", he is a foreign knight serving in the corrupt and decadent court of the game's setting, Gransys. Long story short, in pursuit of mercy for Gransys' people and for the preservation of his own country, Voldoa, he colludes with an apocalyptic cult and leads a stronghold into revolt. Yeah. A mystic knight, he has an interesting mix of powers -- some of which are interactive. Also, he speaks with the equivalent of a French accent! Not exactly great for concealing one's identity...

Just wanted to leave a quick note to apologize for being a slowbro right off the bat. I have some chronic health issues that I've gotten much better at managing, but occasionally they rise up and slap me down entirely for a few days.

I don't know what I'll get to today, it just depends on how long I can stay awake. Hopefully Monday is more promising.

This is Heisuke, from the manga flat; you asked for it (which you should all read because it's about babysitting cute children)! He's a lazy, sleepy teenager who spends most of his free time chilling on the roof, skipping class, babysitting his precious baby cousin, or baking his weight in pastries and sweets. He's teenager-ish age (lol ambiguous) and he's used to being abused by his best friends. Feel free to tell him to bake a cake for you - he'll do it.

State of the Game!

Just a short one!

To start, the taken and rooming pages have all been updated! If I missed anything, please let me know!

The F.A.Q. has also been updated!

Reserves will be opening Sunday (June 23rd) at 12:05 AM. Applications are opening again on Wednesday (June 26th) at 12:05 AM. Because the game got off to a small start, applications will stay open continuously for the next few weeks, with applications being processed every Friday.

Reserves are going to be open continuously with a slight change to how they work. Until applications close again, reserves will only last until 11:55 PM the following Thursday, at which point non-reserved challenge apps may also be submitted. Challenge reserves are still allowed.

Finally, our very first EVENT will start on Monday! Expect to see a info and plotting post by tomorrow (Sunday at the very latest).

eyyy hi there everybody! My name's Daisy, and while I had originally hoped to app in two shiny characters to this neat game I decided to start things off small for the time being, and so I'm bringing you all Suzuki from a cute little slice of life manga called Flat. If you've never heard of it then I definitely recommend giving it a read because it's just... cute. It's cute. It's very cute just trust me why would I lie to you. Gosh, it's cute. :(

ANYWAY Suzuki here is a stoic stick in the mud that likes to be straight-forward and blunt with his thoughts and opinions. But don't worry, at least you're not his best friend Heisuke, who he treats even worse. Because that's how you treat best friends. ♥ But seriously, he tries to be nice when people treat him well, and when they don't... well, just try not to make him too angry.

Hello, hello, hello!

I hope I'm not too late to the intro party. My name is Kimmeh! and the exclamation point is purely for decoration, free of charge and totally optional! We can't sweat the small stuff, my new friends.

Enough about that, let's talk about the real star of the show. With me, I'm bringing in Minami Ikki from the manga Air Gear. It's a special type of manga that most people overlook because the first handful of chapters are intensely heavy on the fanservice angle. It's a story of teamwork, betrayal (Kazu, mostly. What a bastard! No one trust this asshole!), hard work and how the strength of character overcomes all. . . and panties. Ahh, yes. Panties.

He's coming in after reaching his Good End! Saved the world, got the girl (although not the girl he thought he'd get), made himself a legend and yadda yadda! Now, he's going to continue to fight because a hero's job is never over. His outfit comes in the form a skin-tight black suit with helmet featuring a wing shaped visor. He's gonna punch out crime! And look like a maniac!

Meet Kazu from Air Gear, some manga about a rough-and-tumble ~~gang~~ team of teenagers saving the world with rollerblades. He's from mid-series (right after exposing a nudist cult, for the canon familiar—for those who aren't, I promise it was at least 70% plot-relevant), when they're saving the world without really knowing what the hell they're doing, so he'll be pretty daunted by the prospect of having to help save another before he can go home to continue level-grinding. What, you mean the fate of one world riding on your shoulders isn't pressure enough—

...And what's this about having to turn in his homework on time.

Hey to everyone! My name is Mira, and I've brought you Elijah Elkwood from the webcomic Todd Allison and the Petunia Violet. I'm really excited to get to be here and bring him to you.

For the canon blind, Elijah's a politician from 1920s Australia who's overly devoted to his family (especially his sister) and has the capacity to be downright absurd or serious to the point of it being terrifying. No doubt he'll be suffering from some culture shock (what do you mean you can't smoke where you please) on top of the whole magical boy schtick.

I mean. Hello! I am Matt! I bring with me Ryu, from Breath of Fire IV, aka the game with some of the greatest writing I have ever seen shut up it's not just nostalgia.

Ryu is... well. A god. Or half of one. It's complicated. I'm bringing him right after chapter II, which if you know the canon is when he first transformed into the Kaiser Dragon. If you don't know the canon, basically he just transformed into a super powerful dragon and slaughtered a band of soldiers.

... He had a good reason okay.

Ryu is generally a super happy guy! He's always willing to help people and he's always willing to defend them! Unless you're a bad person.

Hi there.

I was approved a while ago, but I had a crazy crazy week, so I'm just now getting around to saying hello!

I'm Vee and I've brought with me Will Graham from the Hannibal TV series. I've taken him from around Episode 8/9, and I'm not one for canon updating, so that is where he will be staying. I will be using his entrance into El Sera to slow some of the health problems he is developing at that point in time, while I decide what, if anything, I would want to do with them in game.

For those unfamiliar with Will, he's a rather antisocial special detective for the FBI. He actually never got his badge, due to 'mental instability,' but he's so good at what he does, they call him in for the nasty stuff. Will suffers from acute empathy, he's able to put himself into other people's shoes far too easily and he's especially good at doing it with psychopaths. He's had a rough lonely life and isn't a ray of sunshine about it.

He does, however, genuinely want to help others, so I'm looking forward to the magical boy adventure.

What say we change that? Hullo, everyone! I'm Lily and this is my first time musing with John Watson. He's from the BBC's Sherlock, a modern adaptation of the Sherlock Holmes story. He's taken from just the end of "The Hounds of Baskerville," a story where his flatmate, Sherlock, attempted to drug him with hallucinogenic drugs and use him as a lab rat. The drugs and lab rattery happened, but said flatmate wasn't actually the one to introduce the drugs. Regardless, John's just a little wary of open container beverages he's handed.
